...blown and tossed by the wind!

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.  James 1:6

We are being blown and tossed by the wind.
Or I guess I should say...I am being blown and tossed by the wind.
I woke up this morning in search of something.
I needed to settle my soul.
I opened a book I am currently reading through slowly.
Chapter by chapter...
studying the verses within.
So I searched...chapter by chapter trying to find something that pertained to to my problem.
Nothing.
I began to read the next chapter that had been waiting on me for far too long.
It was about temptation.
As I read...I knew it had nothing to do with what I am battling.
I was becoming frustrated.
But then I came to a verse.
I opened my Bible.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,  because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.  James 1:2-4

Friends this is what I have learned...
If you do not read your Bible...
God will not speak to you.

This has been an eye opening revelation to me.
I never understood when people would claim God had spoke to them.
But He does.
He did to me this morning...
He did to me the other night while getting angry with my thoughts.
It was clear.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.   James 1:5-7

So, what did I hear?
Ask me for what you want...and do not doubt.
Plain and simple.

Sometimes it's easy to get lost in this journey with our littleLover.
To be overwhelmed with CONSTANT decisions.
Always waiting  wishing for the light at the end of the tunnel.
But the truth is...there is light in the tunnel.
And it's bright!

So, while there is sadness and frustration in the days...
it is EASY to find happiness in the journey...
knowing we lack NOTHING!
Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.  James 1:4
